Our Love story
Leslie’s version
Brian and I met on Facebook in June 2025, and honestly, I was just on there for vibes. No expectations, no pressure—just scrolling. I didn’t go out much, so I figured my options were either online dating… or eventually falling in love with a delivery driver (still very open to snacks 😄).
The day of our first date ended up being incredibly special. Earlier that evening, my prayer group reached out and asked me what I wanted them to pray for at 7:00 p.m. Without overthinking it, I said, “To meet my husband.” My date with Brian was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. While driving to meet him, I joined the prayer call—and that was actually the very first time they had ever prayed for me individually.
That night, my prayer was simple and sincere: “Lord, I just want to meet my husband.” I wasn’t asking for sparks or a fairytale moment—just my person. What I didn’t know was that God was already answering that prayer… because my first date with Brian turned out to be my forever date.
Today, I call Brian the better part of me—the voice of reason, the calm in my storms, my security blanket, and my very best friend. God’s timing? Truly impeccable. 💍✨

They say when you know, you know—and for us, “knowing” happened faster than a Facebook notification.
Our journey began in the digital world in June 2025. What started as a few messages on Facebook quickly turned into a connection we couldn’t ignore. We didn’t wait long to bring that energy into the real world.
Our first date was at Uchiko, and the atmosphere was only outshone by the conversation. Looking across the table at Leslie, I didn’t just see a beautiful woman; I saw my future. Shortly after that date, I told her I had “plans for her.” It might have been bold, but when you find your person, there’s no sense in pretending otherwise.
For our second date, we traded the dinner table for two wheels and went bike riding. There was something incredibly special about that day—a sense of ease and joy that confirmed everything I felt at dinner.
On July 3rd, I asked Leslie to be my girlfriend. It was the easiest question I’ve ever asked, and her “yes” was the best gift I could have received.

I am forever grateful to have found my “good thing.” Leslie is my partner, my best friend, and the person I’ve been planning for since that very first night at Uchiko. We can’t wait to start this next chapter with all of you!
